Just drew these Holly and Berries leaves. Would love to see what you do with them for your Holiday cards.

I made this card for fall using a leaves I cut from my ciricut and then used Tim Holtz distress inks to shade the leaves. I used a digital stamp for the inside that I got from thesherlockshome blog. I used my copic markers to color the leaves on the inside.

This reminded me of a Scooby Doo tree. Scooby Doo where are you?!!
A little something to get started on Christmas cards. Did this this morning while I was thinking about what to do for Halloween. LOL.

Leaf Luminary

I made this leaf luminary from a file I got at papercompulsions.blogspot.com. Jani has some wonderful files on her site. This was my first try at this and I think it turned out well. I cut the file with my cricut, placed velum behind the squares and then added a color changing T-lite inside.

Spools of thread

Here are 2 more drawings I did of some thread on a spool. I hope you can use them and I would love to see what you create with them. You can email me at n_parton@charter.net.

Fall Tilda

Made this card with a Magnolia stamp. I love this little stamp because she is so versatile. I used several copic markers. I did not keep track of the color numbers I used. Just kind of opened up my case and went for it. ha ha

Friday, August 5, 2011

Here is a Halloween card I made using several different mediums. I used the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge for the pumpkin and used Distressed inks to shade the pumpkin and copic markers for the lines. It is still amazing to me that this pumpkin started out as just a plain cut out with no lines and deffinition. Then I used a digital stamp that I got online. I goggled free digital stamps and this was among the free images page. I used Copic markers to color the image. The list of marker colors is listed below this post.

YR 16 and YR 68 for shading the pumpkin and the shading on the tights

E00 and E11 for the skin and R02 for the rosy cheeks

V17 and V15 for the tights

YG23 for the dress and YG00 for the lighter color on the dress

100 and C-1 for hair highlight

Thank you to all our Troops

I made this card to send in a box of goodies to my son stationed in the army over in Iraq. I colored it with copic markers and I hope he likes it.

Ant cupcakes

We made these cupcakes for my step daughters baby shower. Her theme was Teddy Bears Picnic so how perfect were these little ants????? We used chocolate covered pomegranites and cake icing in a tube. Everyone thought they turned out just to cute.
I made this card with another Magnolia stamp. Like I said.. these are just the cutest stamps.

This is a card I made with my new Magnolia Stamp. I just love these little images. I colored it (of course) with my copic markers. I used the Happy Hauntings cartridge for Beware.
Thanks for looking.

Butterfly Baby

I saw these dolls displayed at Craft Warehouse that they had decorated with flowers and moss. I thought I could do that myself so I gave it a shot. My sister has the Anne Geddes dolls so I thought this would be a perfect additon for her birthday. I got a wood block from the dollar store and covered the block with these fall leaf picks from Michaels for .99 cents a piece. I found a pack of butterfly wings that I an using for our daughters wedding in September so I glued one of those on the back of the doll.
Remember the value of a gift may only be $10, but the value of a hand made gift from the heart is priceless.

My first diaper wreath

My daughter is having a baby shower this weekend and I made this with the diapers left over from the diaper baby. I used the New Arrival cricut cartridge for the bottle and onsie and the Create a Critter for the frog. Don't you just love the frogs big googly eyes? This is the very first diaper wreath I have made and I think it turned out fairly nice. It is great to have something you see in your head turn out the way you thought.

My husband wanted me to make a card for his sisters birthday. He had no ideas of what I should do but said he knew I could come up with something. He did know she liked blue so I hope she likes what I came up with.

My Diaper Baby

I was looking online to find ideas for making a diaper wreath or diaper cake for our daughters baby shower. I saw someone had a picture of a "Diaper Baby." They had instructions but they were not easy to follow. So I kind of took what they said and winged it a little. It turned out so much cuter than I thought it would. It is made with rolled up diapers kept together with rubber bands then stuck together inside a baby outfit. I can't wait for her to see it at her baby shower. If you haven't heard of them before you really should check out the sites online. They are just the most adorable things and kind of remind me of those dolls that look like they are playing hide and seek. Hope you enjoy and maybe you'll want to give it a try yourself.

Birthday wishes

This is a card I made using one of my magnolia stamps. Hope your days are magical.

Thank You

This is a Thank You card I made for a challenge at CardzTV. I don't know if you can see in the picture but I used Glossy Accents on the apples for a nice little sheen. I used little pastel color brads on the handles and Doodlecharms cartridge for the apples and the basket.

This is a card I did for the Beach Challenge at CardzTV blog. I used the Accent Essentials cart to cut out the design and Paper Doll Dress Up for the shells. I had this paper in my stash for some time and finally had a reason to use it.

Monday, May 2, 2011

This is another flower coloring book page I colored. I used accent essentials cartridge to cut the circles. I used the Martha Stewart lace paper punch for the trim and a simple black ribbon. My husband picked put the leaf stamp for the background and I think it fit perfectly with the design.
Thanks for taking a look and let me know what you think.

Mothers Day Card

My second Mothers day card. I think it is a very versatile image. The image is a coloring book page so I can't tell you where I got it. I just googled Flower coloring book pages and this was one that came up. I used distress inks on a plain yellow background and then added the butterfly stamps.
The ribbon is black velvet and of course I used my copic markers to color. I used the distress inks to add color behind the flowers.
